The Ventures Model - Also came as a bass and later on, A 12-string. This is not the same as the later Joe Maphis model which is similar to the Combo model. Joe Maphis model - Same general body shape as the later Ventures model This was to be Joe Maphis' model before Semie Moseley and The Ventures settled on a contract and the body shape became the Ventures model. More various guitars though none in commercial production. A triple-neck guitar built for Semie Moseley personally,. One double neck guitar built for Joe Maphis,. Mosrite also used other names occasionally 'Gospel' was often a name associated with guitars given away to churches although it was also used during Mosrite's bankruptcy period when they didn't have their Mosrite name (1969-1970,) Semie also used his last name 'Moseley' for guitars built during the same period. The neck and the headstock are natural and say: Mosrite of California USA by Semie. Semie's last Hurrah! See the headstock detail. Serial Numbers starting with a V are reissue models manufactured at Semie's Jonas Ridge, North Carolina facility. Second, my serial number listing shows most of these slab body serial numbers falling in 'spurts' with German Carve models after the initial couple of batches. First, I have a Mosrite serial number listing of over 2500 Mosrites and I now know of about 40 of these slab body guitars out there in the world. One of less than 600 Mosrite Basses built between 1971-74, the V-1 is essentially identical to the mid-60s Ventures Models, produced after the Ventures endorsement ended. Up for sale, a 1974 Mosrite V-1 bass in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. 
A lot of care & detail went into the build of this limited run of less than 100 guitar. It's an undeniably great sounding & playing guitar. For the sale an incredible and elusive 1999 Mosrite Gospel Kurt Cobain model, serial number KC 059.
I've heard there are are more than 2 in existence and their serial numbers are very high in the Mark V run (Cobain's is B1697, the highest I've seen is B1700.). Kurt had one (a Sunburst one,) true, but the other one he had was a regular 1966-69 Mosrite Mark V and that one was Blue. 3: The number of supposed 'Gospel Mark IVs' in existence.
